Elizabeth Burpee, MSW, MPH

Liz Burpee serves as the Director of Workforce Development at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). In this role, Liz is responsible for implementing, managing, and reporting on workforce-related grant programs housed within the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development. 

Prior to joining ASPPH, Liz served as Project Director for the National Consortium for Public Health Workforce Development, then housed at the de Beaumont Foundation. In this role, Liz led national, regional, and local public health leaders in a collective impact initiative to strengthen and diversify the governmental public health workforce. Liz has also served as the CHIP program lead for the New Orleans Health Department, as Interim Executive Director of a community development non-profit, and as the architect of a 60-member collective impact initiative to combat racial health disparities in New Orleans. Liz is particularly skilled in project management, collective impact development, group facilitation, data collection, and program evaluation. 

Liz received her Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. In her spare time, Liz is usually chasing after her toddler and trying to carve out a moment to write and play music.https://aspph.org/our-work/practice/center-for-public-health-workforce-development/
