2020 ASPPH Virtual Sections Retreat
June 17, 2020 – July 9, 2020
The 2020 ASPPH Virtual Sections Retreat (VSR) will be held on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from June 17 – July 9 (four weeks). The retreat begins with an opening plenary session on June 17 at 1:30 pm ET followed by introductions and networking opportunities for each Section. Then Sections will meet one day each week through July 9. View full agenda.
The agenda for the VSR was developed with input from the Program Advisory Committee which includes a representative from each of the seven Sections. Each Section also has a planning committee to develop content for their group. Programming will consist of plenary sessions, tracks for each Section, as well as joint sessions for multiple Sections and networking opportunities.
The Sections Retreat is for designated representatives from ASPPH-member schools and programs of public health for Academic Affairs, Data, Diversity & Inclusion, Finance & Administration, Practice, Research, and Student Services. The primary purpose of the Sections Retreat is to provide these groups with an opportunity to share best practices; increase knowledge; discuss current issues and challenges at schools and programs of public health; and network in an open environment with their peers.
