Kaitlin Tager, MPH, CHES

Kaitlin Tager, MPH, CHES is the Senior Manager of Workforce Development and Applied Practice at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH).  Kaitlin supports efforts to recruit, train, and retain a diverse public health workforce through project management, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives within the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development, which include federally funded projects aimed at strengthening the public health workforce pipeline and improving public health infrastructure, workforce, and data systems. She co-leads the Academic-Practice Linkages in Public Health Caucus through the American Public Health Association, providing a valuable venue for public health academicians and public health practice partners to share innovations, promote programs and services, and share research that strengthens the evidence base on issues related to public health practice and education. 

Prior to joining ASPPH, Kaitlin worked in the governmental public health and non-profit sectors for over nine years. She was most recently the Program Evaluator for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program and the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Public Health. In this role, Kaitlin honed her federal grants management, implementation, and evaluation skills which led to her position with ASPPH. Her education includes a BA in Biological Sciences and Anthropology from the University of Connecticut and an MPH with a concentration in Community Health Education from San Jose State University. Kaitlin is also a Certified Health Education Specialist.
