ASPPH is pleased to offer recent graduates from Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited, ASPPH member schools and programs of public health an exciting opportunity to gain environmental health experience at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Applications are currently being accepted for the 2022 ASPPH/EPA Environmental Health Fellowship Program. The deadline to apply is 11:59 PM ET on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
The ASPPH/EPA Environmental Health Fellowship Program offers outstanding opportunities for early-career public health professionals by enabling them to train at EPA on high-priority environmental, public health issues. Program participants will train closely under nationally recognized experts within the premier environmental health agency in the world. The EPA leads the nation’s environmental science, research, education, and assessment efforts, while working to protect our health and our environment.
Fellowships will be based at various EPA offices, most of which are located in the Washington, DC area, but may also be located in any of EPA’s laboratories or regional offices throughout the country. The fellowship positions are full-time training opportunities for a one-year period (estimated, October 2022 – September 2023). To be eligible for this program, applicants must have received their master’s or doctorate degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship (no later than August 2022) or within the last five years (no earlier than May 2017). Graduate degrees must come from an ASPPH-member graduate school or program of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). All applicants must be US citizens or hold a visa permitting permanent residence (“Green Card”) in the US to be eligible for the fellowship program. Certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred.
