1.       In one sentence, what is public health to you?

Public health is about empowering individuals to be able to make informed decisions about their health.

2.       What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired by my study abroad trip exploring what sexual health care and health systems look like in Europe.

3.       What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The single most rewarding experience has been reaching out to prospective students.

4.       What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

Make as many connections as possible because there are so many aspects of public health that overlap and coincide with your interests whether they seem like it or not.

5.       What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

The biggest challenge is health education and mental health.
