What does public health mean to you?

Public health, to me, is equity and equality. I believe that all people should have access to affordable healthcare regardless of economics, race, or other issues.

What inspired you to study public health?

Public health has always been a field I’ve wanted to go into since I was young. I’ve always wanted to help others, especially those who were disadvantaged.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career or studies so far?

Being given the opportunity to pursue my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Taiwan.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing public health today?

I believe the biggest challenge facing public health is inequity.

What advice would you offer someone who is thinking about a career in public health? 

Know that public health is a vast field and there are many different options and opportunities for you to pursue.
