What inspired you to study public health?

I was inspired to study public health by learning of the medical/health injustices experienced by Black people and women. Health has been weaponized against the marginalized and that’s not cool. I want to do something about that.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The single most rewarding experience is using my knowledge and experiences for good, to help others.

Advice:
I wish someone had instructed me to be strategic in every position and opportunity, to only take those that fit into my ultimate plan or that I can gain valuable experience from.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

Atoning for and eradicating structural racism.
