  1. What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

My experience as a graduate research assistant has been the most beneficial part of my experience here at SLU. It is helping me to apply what I’m learning in the classroom immediately and directly to real life experiences. I’ve learned a lot of about the methodology of research as well as how to use academic research in collaborations with community organizations.

  1. What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

I would love to see public health become a larger part of the fight for environmental justice, especially against climate change. Linking the effects of our environmental degradation to human health is going to be so important in the near future!
