Recent graduates from Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited, ASPPH member schools and programs of public health are invited to apply for the ASPPH Public Health Fellowship Program for advancing key strategic initiatives in academic public health. The deadline to apply is 11:59 PM ET, June 20, 2022.
ASPPH Public Health Fellowship Program participants will develop professional skills and enhance their leadership abilities through direct participation in ASPPH activities that: (1) seek to dismantle the barriers that prevent or hinder inclusion, diversity, equity, and antiracism in public health academia and (2) frame the future of education in public health.
The fellowship assignments will be based at ASPPH Headquarters in Washington, DC, and while DC metro area candidates are preferred, ASPPH maintains a hybrid work environment at our Washington, DC office and is open to considering remote candidates for this role. The fellowship positions are full-time training opportunities for a one-year period (estimated, July 2022 – June 2023), with the possibility to extend for an additional year. Detailed program information and all application instructions can be accessed here.
Eligible applicants must have received their Master’s or Doctorate degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship (no later than July 2022) or within the last five years (no earlier than June 2017). Graduate degrees must come from an ASPPH-member graduate school or program of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). All applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold a visa permitting permanent residence (“Green Card”) in the U.S. to be eligible for the fellowship program. Certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred, but not required.
