ASPPH and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) co-chaired the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) faculty development institute, IDEAS: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Advocacy Stories, which wrapped up its two-week run yesterday. Sixty interprofessional participants from a broad array of disciplines participated, including Dr. Jenn Ibrahim (Temple) and Dr. Nabil Natafgi (South Carolina) and their interprofessional teams. Academic public health was represented among the distinguished speakers by Dr. Amy Blue (Florida), who spoke on assessment, and Dr. Cynthia Gonzalez (Charles Drew University), along with her multi-sectoral team in the closing panel: The CRDU IPE Journey: From Foundation to Sustaining Successful Collaboration. Stay tuned in this space and on the IPEC website for news of the next interprofessional faculty development institute, in-person, September 28-30, 2022 (location TBD).
