Rachel Porter

As Tech Lead and Ruby on Rails developer, Rachel works closely with IT Operations to manage and secure the cloud infrastructure for all ASPPH web applications, while also acting as lead developer on several products, such as the Data Center Portal and Member Center.

After joining ASPPH in March 2016 as a Wordpress developer, she quickly transitioned to the Ruby on Rails stack, and eventually became Tech Lead in December 2020. Prior to working at ASPPH, Rachel worked primarily in non-profit marketing and communications roles before making the career change to web development via an immersive bootcamp. She was thrilled to find this role at ASPPH after graduating from the program, as she gets to continue working in a mission-driven non-profit environment while doing the work she enjoys in web development.
