Beth Handler, MPH

Director, Public Health Credentialing

Beth Handler serves as the Director of Public Health Credentialing at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). In this role, Beth is responsible for implementing, managing, and reporting on credentialing-related grant programs housed within the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development. 

Prior to joining ASPPH, Beth served as a Senior Project Director for the COVID-19 Vaccine Surge Staff and Public Health Workforce Initiatives housed at the CDC Foundation. In this role, Beth led efforts to support COVID-19 pandemic response and state, tribal, and local governmental public health workforce. Beth has also served in several leadership positions in Nevada, including the Deputy Director of Programs for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. Beth brings experience in project leadership, systems change, and public health practice.

Beth received her Master of Public Health, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University. In her spare time, Beth enjoys the outdoors, hiking, reading, and music.
