Beeta Rasouli, MPH

Director of Advocacy and Federal Affairs

Beeta Rasouli is the Director of Advocacy and Federal Affairs at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). She drives legislative, regulatory, and other policy issues that directly benefit and impact schools, programs, faculty, and students. Beeta also serves as the main liaison to several coalitions including the Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions (FASHP), Friends of HRSA, Friends of AHRQ, and the CDC Coalition.

Prior to coming to ASPPH, Beeta served as Principal at Lewis-Burke Associates, a DC-based government relations firm. For five years she steered the firm’s healthcare portfolio in areas impacting academic health centers, clinical providers, and biomedical researchers. Previously, Beeta was a Senior Health Policy Associate at the Alliance for Health Policy, a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to helping policymakers better understand health policy. She also held various positions on Capitol Hill, including Health Policy Fellow and Staff Assistant in the office of former Rep. Allyson Schwartz’s (D-PA). Beeta also interned in the offices of Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) and the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA).

Beeta received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from the Virginia Commonwealth University and has a Master of Public Health (MPH) from The George Washington University.
